Nestled within the bustling cityscape lies Taman Desa, a serene residential area that has become the focus of a community's determined efforts to preserve its charm and character. The threat of overdevelopment looms large, prompting residents to band together and take action to protect their beloved neighborhood.

Taman Desa Is Under Threat. Again.
Two critical plots of land in Taman Desa — our playground and the police station site — have been quietly taken from the community and rezoned for high-density development. If we do not act now, we will lose them forever.
What Happened?
Taman Danau Desa Playground (Lot PT 9582)
Alienated in December 2017
Rezoned by DBKL as “Residential 3” on 31 December 2024
Over 1,000 objections submitted by residents during the Draft KL Local Plan 2040 process — ignored.
Police Station Reserved Land (Lot PT 50255)
Alienated in August 2024
Revealed as Residential 3 zoning on 8 May 2025 — without public notification or chance for objection.

What’s at Stake?
Combined, these developments will add approximately 650 new units to an already overcrowded and congested area.
This will worsen:
Traffic congestion
School and facility overloading
Loss of green and civic space
Once construction starts, there’s no turning back.
What We’ve Tried
On 15 May 2024, some residents were invited to a public hearing.
The chairman told us: “You’re not the only ones who lost your playground.”
Our MP Teresa Kok told us bluntly: “You are on your own.”
We are indeed on our own — unless we stand together now.
What We Can Still Do
We have ONE LAST CHANCE: We can file a Judicial Review against DBKL — a legal action that can stop this development.
But the law gives us only 90 days from the gazettement of the KL Local Plan 2040.
Deadline: 26 August 2025
How You Can Help
We have engaged the same legal team that protected Taman Rimba Kiara — and they are ready to help us fight. But legal action isn’t free.
We need to raise RM75,000 to initiate this court process to protect both plots.
This Is Our Last Stand
DBKL has failed us. The developers don’t care. But this is still our home, our land, and our fight.
Let us show them that Taman Desa will not be erased quietly.
Contribute now. Share this with your neighbors. Talk to your friends. This fight needs all of us!
Deadline to act: 26 August 2025
Legal fund target: RM75,000
To protect: The Playground + Police Station land
Together, we still have a chance. Let's not waste it.
