Who are we?

We are regular Taman Desa residents who are concerned about unsustainable development in our neighbourhood.

Some of us were born here, some of us just moved here – but ultimately all of us call Taman Desa home.

We have seen the systematic destruction of our beloved taman in the past few years and decided to take action.

What is KLLP2040 (PTKL 2040)?

The KL Local Plan 2040, or the Pelan Tempatan Kuala Lumpur 2040 is a legal city plan published by DBKL that determines what land can be used for and what can or cannot be built.

Why does the KLLP 2040/ PTKL2040 matter to us?

The document rezoned our playground land and police station land to residential sites with a plot ratio of 3.5. This takes away public amenity lands and gives them to profit-making developers to build more high-rise projects

Are we suing DBKL?

No, a judicial review is to question the legal process of the rezoning of both lands. We are not directly fighting nor criticizing DBKL or the developers.
